Our Story
Dave and I met in Boston, MA back in June of 2005. At the time we met I was living in New York City and was visiting with some former college friends who lived in Massachusetts, Kristen and Sarah. While there for the weekend we decided to all go out to dinner and for a night out in Boston. We decided to extend the invitation to other friends who in turn also extended the invitation to their other friends. This was how Dave came into the picture, he was a friend of one of my friend's friend.
When Dave and I were first introduced I wasn't sure what to make of him. He was very quiet throughout the first couple of hours but quickly warmed up and lost his shyness after a few hours. The more he participated in the conversations was the more intrigued I became by him. I quickly realized that he had a great sense of humor and was a very interesting individual with a great outlook on life. As the night went on, I found myself growing more and more attracted to him and I quickly realized how much we had in common.
Maybe it was the way Dave and I looked looked at each other, or maybe it was because most of our conversations were directed at each other, but whatever it was, it didn't take long for others at the table to recognize the obvious chemistry that existed between us. Dave and I exchanged numbers very later that night. He called it a day later, and the rest as they would say, is history.
I met Emily through a friend while enjoying an evening out in Boston. It was a Saturday evening and I had already made alternate plans when my room mate James convinced me to instead join him and some friends for dinner. I figured I could go out and eat, because after all I was very hungry and had to eat, but would then leave dinner and join up with other friends to hang out as I had previously planned.
Shortly after arriving at dinner that night I quickly realized that I would not be leaving anytime soon. This was of course because of Emily. After I was introduced to her I was instantly left speechless by my sudden attraction to her. After nervously trying to control it for the first few hours I decided to just try to be myself and figured maybe she will like me for who I am. I was right and was very impressed by myself and the success of my strategy. I became more confident and the nervousness of being around her quickly went away. Later that night I was even bold enough to pull her away to the side and ask her for her telephone number. What she didn't know was that I had all ten fingers crossed behind my back hoping she would say yes and give her telephone number to me. I was so happy that night. I was even happier when she said yes to marrying me on a special night a few years later.
